To provide strategic and operational HR direction for Ford Aerospace Ltd. With potential to sit on the Senior Leadership team, this is a broad-ranging strategic and operational stand-alone HR role taking in organisational development, talent management, learning and development employee relations, recruitment and selection, reward and communication
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIEs
- Provide operational and strategic HR Solutions to support the achievement of key business priorities for 80+ employees in a £6.2million turnover business
- Provide expertise and advice to department managers on job evaluation and design, performance management, staff retention and succession planning
- Champion and drive employee engagement across the site
- Manage, design and implement a range of recruitment and selection activities to ensure vacancies are filled cost effectively with the right people in a timely manner including the onboarding of new starters
- Recommend and implement remuneration policies that are consistent with business objectives
- Lead the flagship FA Apprentice programme
- Design, develop and deliver appropriate learning and development initiatives that support the development of managers and employees to have necessary skills and knowledge to fulfil their job requirements (includes short training courses in a variety of subjects)
- Implement new and review and recommend relevant changes to existing policies and procedures which meet legislative and business requirements and keep the Employee Handbook up to date
- Identify logical solutions to strategic and operational people problems to support managers and supervisors
- Produce monthly management report (covering things like employee engagement, absence, disciplinaries, turnover, headcount, recruitment costs and appraisals) and feedback to the Senior Management team every week on people issues
- Able to establish and maintain key internal and external relationships that will support achievement of business objectives
- Deal with absence management of employees using a combination of the Kelio Time & Attendance system and the disciplinary process
- Update the company’s detailed Skills Matrix
- Willing to chair or co-chair monthly Wellbeing Committee and Works Council meetings and produce minutes in a timely manner
- Able to communicate at all levels in the organisation (which involves creating a quarterly Employee Engagement Survey)
- Update Payroll spreadsheet for Finance to produce the monthly payroll
- Maintain the non-unionised environment
- Create/update electronic and hard-copy personnel files for every employee and maintain files for leavers
- Safeguard employee data through use of the GDPR
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Essential
- At least 5 years experience in HR.
- Recognised HRM/HRD qualification
- Comprehensive employment legislation knowledge
- Experienced in designing & updating HR policies and programmes
- Experience and confidence in delivering training programmes
- Stakeholder management skills
- Self-starter with experience of working autonomously from filing up to strategic decision making
Desirable
- CIPD qualified
- Experience from a manufacturing organisation
- Excellent IT (Microsoft packages) and systems skills (including Kelio Time & Attendance)

Salary: £32,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
